Happy Friday! How are you doing? This is a crazy time in our world with everything that is happening with COVID-19, but it’s also amazing to see that we’re a part of living history right now. How cool is that? Something else that is cool is who we have chosen to shine a spotlight on for this blog! She is a client of ours and an amazing mama of three daughters! She is so sweet to us at Bella Vita, and we hope that you love her just as much as we do! We would like to introduce you to Amber Stacy!
Amber has been one of our clients for seven months now, and it’s been an honor to see her grow over that time. Amber discovered Bella Vita back when we were at our old location in the old post office building. She heard about Bella Vita for the first time through a Facebook post that Angie shared. Soon after Amber found out she was pregnant with her second daughter she decided to go see what the hype was all about. Amber really got involved last September and become an official client soon after. She now goes in every day we’re open and enjoys taking the different classes we offer. One of her favorites is our parenting class we offer our clients! Amber said, “I also do the cooking class, which is a lot of fun! I also like to do the arts and crafts they have that’s really fun”. Amber helps us when we need volunteers, and she’s always willing to help others with any tasks.
One of Amber’s favorite parts about being a client at Bella Vita is, “We sit around and talk, help each other out with problems or just goofing off with stuff. The volunteers are amazing, and the kids are amazing!” Amber says that she enjoys helping other clients and seeing all the new babies grow with Bella Vita. Amber loves to tell others about how Bella Vita has helped her and how we help other women/families. She has fun earning points so she can get a crib, stroller, clothes, diapers, and other items that she may need. Our clients earn points or “Baby Bucks” when they take a class or do other activities and when they have enough points they get to go to the boutique. Our boutique is where moms or parents can come in and “purchase” clothes, diapers, formula, toys, and so much more!
We asked Amber how Bella Vita helps her. She told us, “They help by letting me come and do the classes for Rebel (her daughter), and they help me when I need advice, or I’m just feeling down about situations in life and how to get through it.” Amber is one of the many clients that we have grown to love! We also have grown to love her children who come in with her. Amber told us about the arts and crafts classes she does with her kids. Families can come in and do crafts with the kids. Over these past seven months, Amber told us about the times where we helped by watching her children while she was doing a class or out running errands.
Towards the end of our time with Amber, she told us some of her favorite memories since becoming a client at Bella Vita. She said, “My favorite memories with Bella Vita, letting me have my baby shower there. I was the first one to do it! Also, I made Carole (one of our peer counselors) excited by being her first client to earn a crib and mattress. I just love everyone coming together, treating each other like family!” When we asked Amber if she had anything to say to current clients or people who are thinking about reaching out to Bella Vita, she told us that if anyone ever needs anything to just walk in or call or message them on Facebook. We’re dedicated to helping people within our community, so we love to hear it when our clients are excited to spread the word about us. “If you need someone to talk to Angie, Becky, or Pastor James (from Bible Baptist Church) will help you the best they can! Never believe no one is there to help you because there are some awesome people out there who are willing to help. Don’t forget to never give up, and when you fall down, just stand back up and try again!” Wow. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Amber is such an encouragement and a sweetheart! She truly loves everyone around her and is such a blessing every time we see her. We hope that you have enjoyed getting to know Amber and have fallen in love with her as we have!
