    Becky Bailey

    My name is Becky Bailey, a lifelong resident of Starke County, Indiana. I’m married to my wonderful husband, Matt Bailey, and together we are proud parents of three amazing grown children and grandparents—"Oma and Opa"—to Mr. Motley and Meadow.

    I studied at Purdue University in West Lafayette and Ivy Tech in South Bend. My husband and I are active members of Valparaiso Nazarene Church, where we provide premarital counseling, and I also offer post-abortion counseling.

    As a family, we are deeply involved in several businesses including Bailey’s Discount Center, Counter Top Pros, Baileytown Cabinets, Biggby Coffee, and Baileytown Burgers Restaurant.

    For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to working with youth in both public and private schools as a Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist (SRAS). I also serve on the advisory board of the Cheryl Lynn Walter Family Foundation.

    I am honored to be the Founder and CEO of Bella Vita Pregnancy Center and Bella Haven Maternity Home in Knox, Indiana—two ministries that are close to my heart.

    Jim Sheets is a 1989 graduate of Knox High School. He completed his MS in Biology from Western Michigan University in 1997, and currently serves as Vice President of Clinical Trial Quality Assurance at Fibrogen, Inc (a San Diego based biotechnology firm). Jim is a proud father of 4 children with his wife Danyel (Russel) Sheets of North Judson, and they are excited to welcome their first grandchild, Violet.

    Constance Sheets

    Constance Sheets has her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and spends much of her professional life educating future nursing students. She also works for a small older adult group home in which she provides nursing and medical care along with quality of life for the residents. Constance feels all life, from conception to natural death, is a gift and should be cherished. Constance is married to Ryan and has 5 children and 2 grandchildren. In her leisure time she likes to garden, cook, spend time caring for the animals on her family’s small hobby farm and teach Sunday school at her church. Like many others, Constance has had challenges in life. She states that her Roman Catholic faith is what has brought her through these challenges in a positive way.

    Dan Cole

    Dan is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He is a graduate of Purdue University Northwest with his Master’s in Nursing. He obtained his board certification through AANP in 2020. SInce then, he has practiced in emergency medicine, as well as helping to run an observation unit for over four years. He has also worked in an urgent care setting for almost two years.

    Dan married his wife Joni Cole in 2012, and they have two children, Nya Grace and Kohen Daniel. In his free time he loves to travel, cook, go to the gym, cheer on Notre Dame football, and attend and coach his kids sporting events.

    Genia Wilgus

    Director of the Harbor Maternity Home. Genia founded The Harbor out of a deep love and calling to offer a safe, nurturing space for pregnant women facing adversity. Genia believes every mother and baby deserves to experience compassion, dignity, and security. Rooted in her faith, her vision was to create a home where women can feel loved, supported, and hopeful for the future.

    Jon Ellenwood

    Excited and honored and blessed to be a part of the Bella Vita family! I attend Gospel Lighthouse Church, in Delong Indiana. I stay busy with my safety engineering job, and I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, and spending time with my family and friends. I also serve on the board of directors for Culver School Ministries, where we walk the students through the Bible. I believe all lives matter, including the unborn babies, and should be cherished.

    Alyssa Jo Smith, lover of all things local, I grew up in Knox and have a heart to continue to keep the community thriving and reaching those in need. A proud mother of two, I believe that every child deserves a chance at life and every mother deserves to feel supported. I am blessed to have found my place on the board at Bella Vita.
